Why should I use Sanatolia Care as opposed to other medical tourism operators or individual surgeons who advertise their services?

Sanatolia Care specialises in sending patients to Turkey as we believe that we can provide a better service by concentrating on building strong relationships with the leading medical institutions and skilled practitioners in one country we know well, rather than offering cheap procedures in a range of different countries, as many other operators do, thereby spreading their resources thinly, making it difficult to provide the level of care and attention that patients need.

Concentrating on Turkey allows us to inspect the facilities at the hospitals and clinics where you will be treated and to find the best-qualified professionals to treat you, so that all the advice we give you is based on experience rather than hearsay. We have long-standing professional links with the leading medical and dental practitioners in Turkey, which means that you have quick, direct access to the specialists who will be treating you and can discuss any concerns you may have beforehand.

Many other medical tourism companies are also very limited in the accommodation they can offer, as they have to organise everything from a distance. Sanatolia Care has locally-based English speaking staff to make all the arrangements in person and to ensure that the accommodation offered is suitable, as well as ensure that you are comfortable after your arrival.

You may also come across individual surgeons who advertise their services on the Internet or elsewhere. It goes without saying that leading surgeons do not need to advertise their services. If a surgeon has to pay out large sums to advertise in this way, then we should ask ourselves "Why?" What is his or her reputation in their home country? Is he or she really an accredited surgeon, affiliated to the relevant  professional bodies? Sanatolia Care only works with highly qualified, skilled surgeons who are well-respected in their field and with whom we have formed professional relationships.

I have been through the site and I wish to enquire about the procedure.

It is quite simple. You fill out the ENQUIRY FORM in as much detail as possible, and then we do all the rest.

Once you have filled in the form and sent us any relevant medical data (Doctor's letters etc), our staff check to see if you are a suitable candidate for your chosen medical procedure, address any questions or concerns you may have, make recommendations based on your circumstances and expected recovery time and give you a quotation for the services you require, valid for a specified time. Medical staff at our Istanbul office will then analyse your information, find the most suitable specialists and hospitals for your condition and check their availability for the dates you have specified. (You may be offered a choice of hospitals if more than one is available.)

As soon as you have made your choice you will be put in contact with your chosen specialist so that he or she can answer any queries and request any necessary information/documentation. When you decide to proceed, you will be asked to sign the Terms and Conditions of the hospital and to authorise the surgeon to carry out your operation, just as you would at home. At this point, you will be asked to pay a deposit of 25% of the total price, in advance. You may pay this via a simple secure online credit card transaction or bank transfer for which we will send you a link to a secure payment gateway, or by providing you with the Hospital's Bank Transfer details. (If you decide to cancel, this is refundable, minus the cost of our expenses to date.)

We will then arrange your fights and accommodation, always remaining in contact with you to ensure that these are suitable and convenient. If necessary, we will send an ambulance to your home to take you to the airport and to take you to the hospital on your arrival in Turkey. Otherwise you will be met at the airport in Turkey by a member of our staff who will convey you to your hotel, or the hospital as appropriate. (Of course, if you wish, you may make these arrangements yourself.) You will pay the remainder of the fee once you have had your first consultation with your surgeon.

You will pay the balance of your quoted fee to the hospital after the first consultation with your surgeon in Turkey.

Nothing could be easier!

What about the confidentiality and privacy of my medical forms?

Sanatolia Care protects all your medical information and will never disclose it to any unauthorised party.

Why is the price so reasonable? What's the catch?

There is no catch. The quality of treatment and care you receive will be at least equal to and very often better than that you would receive at home. Private medical care is very expensive for most Turkish people, just as it is in other countries, but the current favourable Turkish Lira/Dollar/Pound/Euro exchange rate means that we are able to offer the best treatment at low prices to patients from abroad.

How much will it cost?

The cost of treatment will vary based on your individual requirements. We can however assure you that the cost will be significantly lower than private medical care in the UK.

To give you an idea,  typical cardiac bypass surgery in the UK can cost around £15,000 through private healthcare companies. We can provide the equivalent, with flights and transfers included, for around £8,000, a substantial saving of £7,000.

Do you give medical opinions and advice?

Although we have medical expertise and experience of organising medical treatment abroad, it is not Sanatolia Care policy to give medical advice. Our procedure, however, ensures that the information collected from you enables the medical team abroad to give appropriate advice and treatment.

Can I go "sight-seeing"?

We will be glad to arrange sight-seeing excursions and shopping trips for you following authorisation from your doctor.

Can I book my own travel arrangements?

As part of our service, we are happy to organise your travel and accommodation for you. You are, of course, free to make your own arrangements, although you will be responsible for ensuring that you arrive in plenty of time and allow sufficient time for your recovery, so that International Airline Standard regulations allow you to board the plane on your return, and that any accommodation is of a suitable standard.

Can someone come with me?

We would encourage you to have a friend or family member accompany you and be there for you during your treatment, and can arrange travel and accommodation for them too.

What about the language?

All our partner hospitals have fluent English speaking staff.

What about “after-care”?

Sanatolia Care will, in conjunction with your surgeon, ensure that you receive any necessary medical attention during your recovery period in Turkey. All information and records regarding your treatment will be given to you for your GP or specialist at home.
